Research and Clinical Trials

Clinicians at The Center for Eating Disorders are affiliated with either Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons or Weill Cornell Medical College and conduct research through these institutions to advance the treatment of patients with eating disorders.With this research, which frequently includes clinical trials, patients may have access to new therapies before they become widely available.

We are currently enrolling interested and eligible patients in:

Placebo Controlled Medication Study for Adults with Anorexia Nervosa

Involves medical monitoring and medication

Age: 18-55 years

Criteria: Diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa and no other major medical or psychiatric problems

Duration/Length: 16 weekly sessions (approx. 1 hour) with follow-ups at 20 and 24 weeks
