The Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Program at the Payne Whitney Clinic at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center applies dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to the care of patients with personality disorders, such as borderline personality disorder. DBT integrates cognitive behavioral therapy with other approaches to help patients achieve mindfulness, regulate their emotions, tolerate distress, and relate to other individuals in their lives.

  • day treatment care to transition individuals from an inpatient to outpatient environment
  • comprehensive assessment
  • individual and group counseling
  • family counseling
  • coping skills groups
