About Sarcoma

Sarcomas are extremely rare, accounting for less than 1% of all cancers and comprise approximately 100 different types of distinct cancers. Some types are so rare that only handfuls are diagnosed each year in the United States. Specialized care by experts focused exclusively on sarcoma treatment is essential – as each sarcoma type is treated differently. Common sarcoma subtypes include: undifferentiated sarcomas, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), angiosarcomas, fibrosarcomas, liposarcomas, leiomyosarcomas, rhabdomyosarcomas, synovial sarcomas, osteosarcomas, Ewing's sarcomas, peripheral neuroectodermal tumors (PNET), malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors(MPNST), alveolar soft part sarcomas (ASPS), epithelioid sarcomas, chondrosarcomas, desmoids (or fibromatosis) and malignant fibrous histiocytomas (MFH).

Our Approach

We provide an advanced multidisciplinary approach for patients who have been diagnosed with sarcomas and related connective tissue cancers. Our teams meet on a weekly basis to discus cases and provide personalized care plans to sarcoma patients. We strive to improve the standard of care by offering participation in clinical trials suited for all phases of treatment and by offering second opinions.
