NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia is a regional referral center for cancer of the eye; its Harkness Eye Institute is a member of the International Orbit Society--a study group that sponsors multicenter clinical trials. Through a multidisciplinary Skull Base Surgery team, the expertise of NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia's ophthalmologists, neurosurgeons, otolaryngologists, plastic surgeons, radiation oncologists and interventional neuroradiologists combine their expertise to diagnose and treat cancers involving the orbit (bony structure containing the eye), as well as those involving the brain and paraorbital sinuses.
