NewYork-Presbyterian's Pediatric Neuro-Oncology and Brain Tumor Programs offer comprehensive care for children with brain and spinal cord tumors. Care is available at NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children's Health at Weill Cornell Medical Center and at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital at Columbia University Medical Center. Both hospitals are renowned for their specialized pediatric expertise and for delivering family-centered care.

Our pediatric neurologists and neurosurgeons collaborate to develop a treatment plan for each patient. Because clinical trials of novel therapies are so important for making progress against pediatric brain and spinal cord tumors, we offer clinical trials to many patients who walk through our doors. NewYork-Presbyterian also participates in the Children's Oncology Group, the nation's leading multicenter research effort for advancing the care of children with cancer.

In addition to our expert surgical and medical care, patients and their families receive care from Child Life Specialists, who add a vital sense of normalcy to minimize the stress of the hospital experience for our pediatric patients and their families. Child Life Specialists help ease the fears of children facing emergency visits, hospital stays, and procedures. They offer support and guidance to children and adolescents, their parents, and their siblings, as well as to children who are coping with a loved one being treated at the hospital.
