Back to the nypdigestive.org Home Page
Current work at the Celiac Disease Center includes research into the prevalence of celiac disease in patients with Sjogren's syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), severe heart failure, and chronic hepatitis C. We are also studying osteoporosis and its development, and the risk of developing cancer, and factors responsible for cancer in celiac disease. Other studies are exploring the mechanism of the disease, these will allow the development of non-dietary therapies.
