NewYork-Presbyterian's Corporate Care System serves Manhattan-based corporations. The Corporate Care System provides employees of our member corporations with personalized coordination of physician appointments, second opinions, workplace training and wellness programs, health screenings and emergency medical transportation. The program also assists employees of our member corporations find answers to their health-related questions via a telephone help line. Coordination of Physician Appointments
Our services assist employees with non-emergent medical needs and routine medical care. During normal business hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays), a program coordinator can assist with an employee's health care needs, recommend a physician that participates in his or her insurance plan, and schedule an appointment.
Second Opinions
The Corporate Care System can also help coordinate appointments for employees to get second opinions on surgical procedures, medical treatments and diagnosis.
Workplace Training and Wellness Programs
To build awareness of preventive health measures available and to promote safety at the workplace, the Corporate Care System offers a variety of training and wellness programs at the worksite including emergency preparedness, training in CPR/AED, First Aid, Oxygen Administration and Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP) safety. The System also offers lectures for employees on topics such as nutrition, ergonomics, stress reduction, carpal tunnel syndrome, eldercare, balancing family and career, skincare and allergies.
Health Screenings
The Corporate Care System offers workplace screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, skin cancer and obesity or other topics of the corporation's choosing. Onsite flu shot programs and health fairs can also be scheduled through the Corporate Care System office.
Emergency Response System
The Emergency Response System helps the employees of our member corporations during emergency situations. This dedicated telephone line by-passes the 911 service and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week within Manhattan. When members need emergency medical care, they will be transferred to professionally-trained NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital emergency services staff members who will assess the situation and, if appropriate, dispatch a NewYork-Presbyterian ambulance or contact the emergency transport service in closest proximity to the emergency. Depending on the nature of the emergency, the patient can be transferred to NewYork-Presbyterian or to the hospital in closest proximity to the emergency.
