Residency Training - Otolaryngology
Application Process
Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS)
All applicants for the Otolaryngology Residency program at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital must participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) of the National Resident Match Program (NRMP). In order for us to review your file, we require a copy of your CV, Personal Statement, USMLE scores, three recommendation letters, and transcripts. Please note, we DO NOT require your Dean's letter in order for us to start scheduling interviews. Interviews are scheduled as soon as the Program Directors review your file.
Interviews
Every application downloaded to the program will be reviewed by our Residency Review Committee upon receipt from ERAS. Approximately 45 applicants will be granted interviews. Interviews will be conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013; Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013; and Friday Dec. 13, 2013. The schedule will include interviewing with members of the teaching staff, meeting with our graduate staff, and touring the facilities.
Acceptance
Candidates matched for a residency position are automatically accepted for all five years of specialty training at NYPH (PGY 1-5). Each year four trainees are selected, for a total of twenty residents in the five year program.
