Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children's Health
Witnessing the miracle of birth and helping children through illness are surely two of the most gratifying areas of health care. We're passionate about the superior care we deliver in both obstetrics and pediatrics, and we look for nurses who can share our concern for our patients, and for their families. We can offer every opportunity to learn, develop skills and follow new interests in a supportive environment where your professional development is a priority.
Our Pediatrics service covers all age groups, and we have expertise in a variety of sub-specialties handling patients at all acuity levels. Multidisciplinary care of children with malignancies or complex congenital heart disease is just one example of the resources we offer. We are also dedicated to bringing the whole family into the care process, knowing that their support is powerful medicine.
Leadership is nothing new to us
In fact, we were the world's first center for the study and care of premature infants, and established one of the first pediatric cardiology diagnostic and treatment centers in the world. We opened the first Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in New York City specifically designed for the needs of critically ill children. In recognition of our commitment to pioneer new treatment approaches to a range of childhood diseases, the NIH has funded our Pediatric Clinical Research Center.
If you are looking for an opportunity to learn from the best in a highly supportive and innovative environment, there is no better place to build your career as a nurse.
