He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and his master's degree from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Mr. Fosina currently lives in New Rochelle, N.Y. with his family.

Mr. Fosina was also recently honored by the Riverdale Senior Services at its 37th Anniversary Spring Celebration for his ongoing support of the organization, of which he is a past president.
