NEW YORK (May 3, 2006)
The Cancer Prevention Program at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital invites you to view the new issue of its national newsletter,
Cancer Prevention. This latest issue features a discussion on aging and cancer, a topic of prime concern in light of the growing number of older Americans in the 21st century.
Read an intriguing analysis of the relationship between stem cells and cancer prevention that may yield new strategies for inhibiting cancer formation at its earliest stages. Learn more about how one state has organized academic, government and private sector efforts to promote a state of prevention for its citizens. In addition, there's information molecular clues to preventing lung cancer and a possible new treatment to help those addicted to smoking – a nicotine vaccine. And that's only the beginning.
Our web site also provides links to clinical trials, cancer prevention meetings, on-line resources, and information on cancer-related legislation, at both the federal and state level.
