Medical Libraries
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is affiliated with two outstanding medical schools - Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Weill Medical College of Cornell University. One of the many advantages of these affiliations with leading academic centers is the access to health science libraries that are among the finest in the country.
The Columbia University Health Services Library and the Weill Cornell Medical Library provide access to extensive collections of journals, books, archival materials and electronic resources to students, faculty and staff of their respective universities and the staff of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and its affiliated institutions.

Its collection includes over 500,000 volumes, 4,400 current periodical subscriptions, and extensive holdings of media, electronic resources, rare books and archival materials.
The library serves Columbia University's Schools of Medicine, Dental and Oral Surgery, Nursing, and Public Health, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and other healthcare, instructional and research programs in the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Specifically, access to the Health Sciences Library is available to individuals with currently valid identification cards from the following:- NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and its affiliate institutions

The Weill Cornell Medical Library is the principal information resource of the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College and Graduate School of Medical Sciences of Cornell University and NewYork Weill Cornell Medical Center of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. It is composed of the Samuel J. Wood Library and the C.V. Starr Biomedical Information Center.

Tri-Cat, the tri-institutional online catalog, provides access to the holdings of all three libraries. The Library has ready access to the resources of New York City's major health sciences libraries, as well as other libraries throughout the country and the world. Any materials needed by Weill Cornell students, staff, or faculty may be requested through InterLibrary Services
