Overview

The Division of Child Neurology at the NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children’s Health has a long and distinguished history of providing excellent patient care for both the inpatient and outpatient management of neurological problems in children. Our seven full-time board-certified child neurologists have extensive training and expertise in diagnosing and treating the full range of neurological diseases and disorders including:

• pediatric epilepsy
• pediatric concussion
• neuro-oncology
• metabolic disorders
• other diseases affecting infant and child brain development

The Division of Child Neurology is a pioneer in the use of high-resolution structural and functional brain imaging methods to diagnose and monitor the treatment of its patients. Such state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities are advancing the field of child neurology and developmental brain neuroscience. In addition, as members of the faculty of Weill Cornell Medical College, the Division’s clinician-scientists participate in a wide range of research studies to expand the understanding of neurological disorders in infants and children, to develop effective therapies, and to prevent neurological diseases and disorders in the future.
