Growth Failure Program

Our staff have specialized expertise in the management of children with growth failure resulting from chronic kidney disease. We are particularly interested in why some children with kidney failure do not grow and how recombinant human growth hormone allows them to grow more normally. We are examining the role of cytokines and leptin in the growth process and their correlation with body composition and growth parameters.
