Our geneticists provide comprehensive evaluation, risk assessment, genetic counseling and testing for a variety of pediatric and adult genetic conditions. As more is uncovered about the genetic basis for many diseases along with the proliferation of new technologies, genetic diagnosis and counseling become increasingly important for families and their health care providers.
Patients may be referred to evaluate dysmorphic features, birth defects, growth problems, delay in development, chromosomal disorders, heart conditions, or a family history of a known genetic disorder. Our goal is to make a correct diagnosis and provide clinical recommendations for treatment and health prevention. This includes helping the individual and the family understand and come to terms with the nature and the consequences of the disorder. We offer ongoing care for patients with genetic conditions, coordinate their multidisciplinary care, and help them access specialized programs/resources related to their condition.
