The Komansky Center's pediatric endocrinology team took part in the 2012 JDRF Walk for Diabetes on September 30th, a three-mile walk in lower Manhattan. JDRF is dedicated to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. This year's NYP team raised more than $10,000, which will go directly to support JDRF's efforts.
Dr. Zoltan Antal, Director of the Pediatric Diabetes Program at Weill Cornell, served as the Captain for this year's Weill Cornell team. The JDRF Walk is a fantastic way to make a difference in the millions of lives of children and adults affected by type 1 diabetes. For at least that one day, they will look around and see all the support they have from their friends, family and community.
Thanks to everyone for their support. Together, we will cure type 1 diabetes and its complications!
