Warfarin (coumadin)

A drug that acts as an anticoagulant by inhibiting blood clotting factors. Coumadin is a commonly prescribed medication and used in a variety of settings to prevent strokes, deep vein thrombosis, and other complications of thrombosis (clots) in persons at risk for such disease.
