Web Project Manager, New York City

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management
This position assumes responsibility for managing web-related projects at both NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical College. The Web Project Manager (PM) assesses and allocates resources in order to assign specific tasks to various staff members. He/she will develop detailed project plans (with tools like Microsoft Project) and ensure that they proceed as scheduled and are enforced, or modified, when needed. The PM sets completion dates, identifies risks, and ensures that deadlines are met.

Healthcare/Technology Innovations
The PM will play a key role in advancing Web innovations in medicine and technology. Major initiatives -- including patient portals and rich media broadcasting (such as surgical/medical video podcasting) -- will be managed by the PM. Sample state-of-the-art projects by the Web Group include:

Cell Biology

Client Relations
The PM must communicate closely and continuously with stakeholders for over 40 different projects. Vice-presidents, directors, deans, chairmen, physicians, faculty, and staff must be kept regularly appraised of project status and current needs. Sample web sites managed by the PM include:
