NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is a leading teaching hospital affiliated with two Ivy League medical schools: Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and Weill Cornell Medical College. Our physicians serve as faculty members of these top medical schools.
Academic medicine, which combines education, research, and patient care, traditionally has been integral to the progress of medical advances and life-saving treatments. Throughout its history, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and both of its medical schools have contributed to many of the significant breakthroughs in medicine and surgery. As typical of many teaching hospitals, we attract leading physicians and surgeons; provide highly specialized services including burn, trauma, heart care, and transplant programs; and treat patients with rare conditions.
