NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital serves a vast geographic region, with many diverse communities across the New York metropolitan area, encompassing all age groups, ethnicities, and genders. Although it serves these discrete but geographically complementary service areas, the Hospital is able to effectively use its resources to provide quality healthcare to this broad population. The Hospital's service area can be best described in terms of the geographic locations of its five major Centers.
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian, and the Allen Pavilion serve the Upper Manhattan neighborhoods of Washington Heights, Inwood, Central Harlem-Morningside Heights, Kingsbridge-Riverdale, and Highbridge-Morris Heights neighborhoods in the Bronx, and a secondary service area that includes portions of northern New Jersey.
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical
Center's primary service area is the Upper East Side of Manhattan and Western Queens, with portions of Brooklyn and Manhattan.
The Westchester Division, located in White Plains, New York, attracts patients from a wide geographic area with the majority of patients coming from Westchester County.
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is also the flagship hospital of an extensive healthcare network, which consists of more than 150 participating organizations including 32 hospitals, 6 long-term care facilities, 12 home health agencies, 3 specialty institutes, and 97 ambulatory care centers. Through the NewYork-Presbyterian Healthcare Network, the Hospital and its affiliates provide the most comprehensive, high quality services to residents of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx, as well as Westchester, Long Island, New Jersey, Connecticut and several upstate New York counties.
