Awareness Events
Please join NewYork-Presbyterian at events and walks throughout the year to raise cancer awareness.
CANCER PREVENTION STUDY-3 (CPS-3)
NewYork-Presbyterian and the American Cancer Society are partnering in a historic nationwide study that will help researchers better understand the genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that cause or prevent cancer.
CPS-3 is the newest cohort study coordinated through American Cancer Society's Epidemiology Research Program. CPS -1 and CPS -2 have been paramount in understanding the role of obesity, nutrition, and physical activity in cancer prevention. Results helped to establish various relationships between lifestyle, environment, genetics and cancer risk.
* Who can enroll?
Individuals between the ages of 30-65, with no personal history of cancer (except for basal or
squamous cell skin cancers) and who are willing to make a long term commitment to the study.
